Nat Brower is back in his element with the new Brower single, “Confrontation”. It’s a sparkly-glam offering placed at the altar of fallen (non denominational) Rock Gods, steeped in Lennonisms for good measure. The “flip” is a cover of Buddy Holly’s “Love Me”, reimagined as if it were 1974 and a band like Mud or Hello are contractually obligated to record a bubblegum B-side, while future generations of unborn-crate diggers rejoice. Here, both tracks are home recorded in the B.I.Y. (Brower It Yourself) fashion we know and love from their first album, Buzzsaws, where Nat is head chef and crew in the kitchen of his bedroom studio. Think of these tunes as a hearty snack to tide you over until Brower’s forthcoming main-course album of delights.
